Saw another poster on the big game forum got one of his trophies back, and remembered I hadn't posted pics of mine yet. Got this bull opening morning of the 2007 1st rifle season in CO. I think he turned out exceptional. Got him home right before Christmas this year. 14 months and some change since I dropped him off. Along with getting him back, my wife redesigned and refurnished this room just for me and my hunting stuff as a Christmas present. Got to love a woman even more when she willingly indulges you in your hobbies! Here are a few pics.

Mine are stuck in the garage untill I get some vaulted ceilings.
I was snowmobiling over the top of were you got him and camped out in a blizzard there last month, Was thinking about your hunt while I was enjoying the night.

BTW- there appears to be an electrical cord running to the rocker.
Is that an Electric Chair?

As for the electric chair, well, gotta keep the kids paw prints off my mount somehow! They'll only make that mistake once!!!!!

Nice mount. Sort of dominates the room and consumes some floor space too. Our locals have a lot of fine heads out in the garage because the mount's nose will punch one in the navel. Strive for a 2-story or vaulted ceiling with you next move.

It is actually a two story house. This is at the top of the stairs in what they called the Game Room. However, you are correct in that it does take up space and would be better suited in a room with vaulted ceilings. Luckily we only spend time upstairs at night since all bedrooms are up here. I'm the only one that spends time in this room on a daily basis.

I'm working on this now as this was our first home and we've quickly outgrew it. Hopefully our next home will have enough space to keep everyone happy.

Got home with my 6x6 bull a few years ago, 51" spread, nice rack. Had every intention of getting a nice mount done - then started looking around the house for somewhere a mount like yours would fit...

Ended up with just the antlers on a wall plaque, above the fireplace. Pretty much out of the way for everyone, but visible for all to enjoy. Worth thinking about - how you're going to display that big ol' elk once he's yours...

be glad you have a spot for it at all (i know you are). i have a 330 and a 360 bull hanging in the rafters of the barn cause i gots no were to put them. i should draw my coveted Utah tag next year, and hope to better them, so i best be lookin for a place.
