What is the lightest CRF action made?
I am working up a dream rifle in my head ... would most likely be 338 Fed, 338 RCM or maybe even 338 WSM ...
Would a Kimber Montana pretty much be it? Or one of the $$$ titanium custom mauser actions???

I would think the Kimber 84M is the lightest and most reasonably priced.

Try Satterlee arms in titanium, only $6500.

Satterlee ever get his issues worked out? IIRC there was some flare up over him promising and not delivering or some such...

I think he has things under control, he delivered mine when promised, and he does great work. But $6500 for an action is still a little rich for my blood.

As good as Satterlee's work is, it is still a Mauser design, just in a different material. The Kimber, on the other hand, was designed from the ground up for lightweight.

I'd personally (and did) go with the Kimber Montana for a lightweight CRF build. .338 Federal Talley LW low rings Leupold VX-II 2-7x33mm with Alumina flip-up covers 4 rounds of 210gr. Nosler Partition 6lbs 0.5oz
