OP GonHuntin Campfire Tracker Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 3,382	I did a search, but the info was old....... My son will be working in the DC area this summer and I'd like to buy a gps for him to use in the car........don't need all the latest bells and whistles like mp3 etc, just need something to help him get around......... Any recommendations?? Cancer Sucks

Very capable unit, with lots of bells and whistles, not the most expensive of the bunch. Highly recommend it. I'd rather be a free man in my grave, than living as a puppet or a slave....

For about $30 more then their cheapes, you can get a bigger screen and a few more b&w's, namely voice prompts for every turn. I've used them for years, and they are great. Even had one on my Harley when I crashed at 75mph, and the damn thing still works!
