You'll have the best of both worlds then. You won't need much for forced air heat with the hydronic, even in the basement. You may even want to shut off the vents in the basement with the hydronic, but check with the HVAC dude, because that may throw off your system balance.

In the garage, it will flat out rock!

I'm going to have to try the oil on the eggs thing on the grackles in my back yard. My neighbor and I have been pulling down nests with eggs in them. I finally quit because they'd just rebuild and lay more eggs, but I found that if you broke the eggs, they left. One of these years I'm going to try to electrocute them. I've got a 500 microfahrad capacitor; I wonder if it would pack enough wallop. Thing's a little smaller than a Red Bull can.

Really if I could even get a 1/2 dozen 28's I'd be happy. grin

If nothing else it will singe some feathers grin

I wonder if they stay on the nest after the oil is applied? If they do it would delay them from moving and rebuilding elsewhere.

I'm thinking that keeping the birds from renesting is probably why they do it. It's the next logical step in the evolution of grackle suppression.

The electrocution thing wouldn't be in the nests. I've noticed that the grackles will sit on the highest point in the tallest tree in the yard early in the spring when they are pairing up. The thought is that I attach a pole or something to the tree that's taller than the tree. The pole has 2 electrodes on it. The electrodes are .223 brass or something. The grackle balances on one .223 case, reaches over to the other case to steady itsself, and completes the circuit.

Bucktail, I like the way you think. crazy

Could be more fun then watching a bug zapper do its thing! laugh

I can tell you that hooking up a live trap with a rat inside to 150KW generator gets some real interesting results.

thats my plan, still waiting for my friend to return my backup scope in case i need to try that.

but i'm back to the 140 gr win powerpoint fact loads, give that a whirl with the free float, glas action bedding & the triger work. If that don't cut it then start reloading for it.

I want to reload for that one regardless.
