I bid on (and won) a Wards Westernfield .22 rifle that I think is a Savage but they did not list the model number of it so that I could check a cross listing table. I would greatly appreciate it if the list could ID it. Pics from auction below. Thanks

Looks like a Winchester model 77 to me.

In the back of The Blue Book of Gun Values is a crossover page that will tell you the manufacture. Just look up the model number. That said to me it resembles a J C Higgins of the early fiftys made by Marlin.

There is no question in my mind, that is a Winchester 77 tube-feed or a house-brand of the same.

Thanks for the suggestions. After Joe's thoughts about a Winchester 77, I looked at some of them on gunbroker. It sure looks like one of them but the cross reference lists don't show that Winchester made anything for Wards. When I actually get it, I will check the model and number and report.
