Anyone loading 140 Accubonds or Partitions with R-22? If so, what charges are working for you? Just curious, the new Nosler manual lists the same max. charges for 140's and 150's (61 gr.) but the max. load jumps up to 65 for the 130's.

Thanks, Savage, interesting that the listed Speer max. is 65 and the listed Nosler max. is 61 grains for 140s.

140gr Accubonds with Retumbo gives me close to 3300ft/sec with my Tikka T3 LS 270WSM rifles. 69.0gr and 71.0gr Compressed are my loads. 7828SSC,H1000 and Winchester Supreme 780 are other choices. The WS 780 is what is used in the Winchester Supreme ammo for the 270WSM.
RL22 is my choice of powder in my 300WM with 180gr AB's

Reloader 22 is pretty darn good in a wide variety of things - .25-06, .270, .300 Win mag. I think I have more of it on hand at the moment that anything except Varget

I run 60.5 grains of RL 22 with Nosler Ballistic Tips. It shoots very well out of my M70. My chrono says it is only going about 2900 f/s. I thought it would be a little faster than that.

2900 for a 140 is slow...
I get 3100 with a non-max load of RL 19 and 140 SST.

I suppose I will have to tinker some more. I used what I had and did get excellent accuracy. Most of the other loads I have for the 270 WSM have been right in line with what is expected. Most of them have been pleasingly accurate also.

I goofed with my Tikka 270WSM and the Chronograph a bit. I could not get close to factory specs with this powder. I think I am at 3150ish with a Sierra 130 with 67 grains. Good accuracy, so I am sticking with it.
Will have to consult my load book for my 140 data.
I found Magpro to be the fastest, but their data was WAY more than I could put into my rifle.
Please God, give me some good tags this year....

Have heard some good things about the NEW Reloader 17 in the short mags but I have had good results with RL-22

If you can find it try Ramshot Magnum, I get top velocity and good groups with it when using heavier bullets, however it does not work well with 130 gr bullets.
