Hi guys,
I live & hunt in an area (SW Mississippi) that really doesn't get that cold, though we do get frosty mornings and plenty of humidity, moisture and rain during hunting season. I've found that insulated coveralls work well, but they are bulky and heavy, though have a quiet outer layer which is good as most of my shots deer hunting are short range. They are particularly good for hunting out of a tree stand as there is no gap for wind to blow up your back/kidney area.
How about some suggestions for clothing that is lighter, warm & windproof to some extent without the windstopper type laminate which is noiser than I care for and crackles when you move it in the cold.
Thanks in advance for ideas.
