Art, beautiful stocks. I take it that's some of your work? Very nice. Gorgeous.

Not relevant to the topic at hand, though. Still waiting for you to explain how mounting a scope such that it puts your eye right in the sweet spot, when the rifle is mounted in it's most natural position for the shooter, and the scope never touches the shooter under recoil... is somehow wrong...? Or, are we no longer debating based on facts, and have moved on to the "picture barrage" tactic, a la TryMe?

Also interested in hearing you explain how mounting a Leupold farther away will somehow decrease the "black around the image" at high magnifications. Unless you are conceding that you misunderstood what I had said months ago -which is fine, if that's the case, and we can let it go. Just let me know that you now understand, please, like the gentleman I know you can be.

Paul, you are punk. Flat out. Whine all you want. You said it, not me. For those wondering WTF, Paul told me "You are a load your mother should have swallowed!" because I DARED suggest that I'd rather tote a 30-06 than a .223 deer hunting. In my world, a man does not say something like that to another man. His little punk world is apparantly different. The punk Paul Walukewitz in his little punk world.

He told you "You are a load your mother should have swallowed!"?

The thread isn't opening for me, I'm assuming that is the thread where he typed "You are a load your mother should have swallowed!" Is that the thread?

You seem like the kind of guy who's got to go through life saying breath in, breath out, breath in, breath out... That would explain why simple tasks seem so difficult for you....

So which is it, you get a full field of view at the highest power setting, or you get a black ring at the highest setting?

That is creative and innovative if nothing else. Another classic. I always wandered why scopes did not have "ghost rings". Now I know they do.

Let see. I could black the edges of the ocular down to a real small hole. No parallax, my head would be centered and it would be almost like a peep sight. Hmmmm Now how about that field of view issue?

Had to go look, after all this "black ring" talk at the Leupies in the stable...Checked a few that were convenient at hand (a VXIII 4.5-14X40, VXIII 3.5-10X40, and a 3-9X40, for clarification) and not one of them had a black ring around the field of view, at any magnification level. Mind you they are as far forward as they'll go...

I'm just sayin'.....grin

But, did you notice when you poked your peeper into it tight, that it did grow a black ring?......Curious....Might of been an anomaly to me I guess......grin
