Was spending some time in the Man Cave the other day and got around to taking a second look at a matte 2.5x 20mm regular Fullfield that was laying around collecting dust. Bought it some time ago for a project and ended up putting Leupolds on all my worthy rifles. Any fans of this scope out there or was it a blip on the evolution of rifle scopes.

Put it on a 45/70 and youve got wonderful close quarters elk medicine, presumably just as good for black bears, moose what-have-you.
I used to have one on a standard 1895 as a loner rifle, prefer "scout" setup myself but for folks that prefer traditional setup 2.5 is great. Low power gives a little more eye relief and helps keep heavy cast loads from giving scope bite. Id put one on a heavy kicker for short ranges and go anywhere.
