Did anyone see the other Red Bull commercial where the guy jumps a dirt bike onto the top of the 10 story building and then "falls" to a landing back off of it?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWw55XhTehgI was one of the very first surfer dudes in Florida, back in the early 60's. We NEVER had waves like that.

Dudes either has balls that clank...or he's just crazy. My brother is a "surer dude." I vote crazy. Every year they go somewhere in the world and ride waves. 2006 it was Central America, about 7 miles offshore where the sea floor causes enormous waves that you can ride forever (or a mile at least). Crazy. BMT

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x26bsh_teahupoo-laird-hamilton_extremeIt's a rush fellows, if you haven't been deep in a tube you won't understand and no amount of tellin' will change that.

No we didn't but on occasion there are waves that put you back in touch with Jesus. There is surf in the Bahamas every bit as scary as Teahupoo. Big lines on shallow reefs, same same stuff GI. Oh yeah, you ever body surf the Shark Pit shore break?

Not Teahupoo, but a small clue what the view is like from inside: Something similar to the Shark Pit: The ride is fun, the ending a little gritty. These photos were shot by a guy named Clark Little. Google his name and see some stunning photography.

Last time I was in Hawaii, my brother, wife, and I boogie-boarded some decent waves. We all got hurt one way another (shoulder, wrist, neck). We all kept going back out. It's insanely fun! I can see how people would get addicted to surf.
My first experience with surf was in SoCal in '83. I was 18 years old, and there for the US Festival. I grew up in NM; we have no water, much less surf. So there I am, walking out into 10-foot surf with some friends and wondering WTF, when all of a sudden everyone goes "bloop!" "bloop!" and vanishes... Nobody told ME that you are supposed to dive under a wave! That was... gritty.
The CENTER will hold.
