I have been looking to buy a new pistol in .40 S&W as all I currently own are in 45 ACP or wheelguns. At first I did some research then went looking (actually more like handling) to see what fit me best out of my options. This will be an all around piece for home and carry. Glocks don't really feel good to me, the XD ws an almost but not really there, S&W M&P was another almost. Then I got to the Walther P99 (don't really like the decocker), the Sigs were too heavy for my purpose and then the H&K P2000 that not only feels good but when it is in my hand and if I close my eyes talks to me in multiple languages. So in the end it fits and feels ike a part of me when in hand. I can not find anything I do not like about it. I have also always wanted an H&K but never got one mostly because I was always a real 1911 fan. This is also the v3 and not the LEM, which I tried and didn't care for the trigger as well. Any input would really be appreciated.

Well as of a couple hours ago the gun shop has my money and I have the closest thing to sex since whipped cream! She is sooo purrrrty, feels like she needs a sqeeze every now and then and is promising to whisper sweet nothings in my ear all night long. Gotta go she's calln my name again! grin

Stumbled across this older thread and was also surprised by the PM responses. I'm not bashful at all about my P2000 in 40 S&W. It has been the single most reliable semiauto pistol I've ever owned. Try as I might, I can't seem to make it jam. This is the one that stays close-to-hand at night, stuffed with Rem Golden Saber.
