Where are the Palin/Joe The Plumber 2012 bumber stickers? I figure even the sane Democrats will be looking for them at this point...
'TOLD YA SO' Mon Jun 08 2009 10:29:02 ET
Sarah Palin hits FOXNEWS tonight for the big 'Told Ya So' interview, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
As President Obama vows to spend the 'stimulus' faster, Governor Palin tells host Sean Hannity: 'You gotta quit digging that hole!'
MORE
HANNITY: What do you make of look at the state of the economy now...
PALIN: Well, when you consider that the federal government is about eleven trillion dollars in debt, and were borrowing more to spend more.. it defies any sensible economic policy that any of us ever learned through college. It defies economy practices and principles that tell ya you gotta quit digging that hole when you are in that financial hole
Palin continues:
"America is digging a deeper hole and how are we paying for this government largesse. Were borrowing. Were borrowing from China and we consider that now we own sixty percent of GENERAL MOTORS or the U.S. government does But who is the U.S. government becoming more indebted to? Its China. So that leads you to have to ask who is really going to own our car industry than in America."
HANNITY: You know but it goes back - It does go back a little to the campaign. I mean, spread the wealth, patriotic duty
PALIN: Kind of a we told ya so.
HANNITY: Well, is that how you feel?
PALIN: Thats how I feel! I feel like and I think that more and more constituents are going to open their eyes now and open their ears to hear what is really going on and realize ok Maybe we didnt have a good way of expressing that, or articulating that message of here is what America could potentially become if we grow government to such a degree that we cannot pay for it and we have to borrow money from other countries, some countries that dont necessarily like America.
And this many months into the new administration, quite disappointed, quite frustrated with not seeing those actions to rein in spending, slow down the growth of government. Instead Sean it is the complete opposite. Its expanding at such a large degree that if Americans arent paying attention, unfortunately our country could evolve into something that we do not even recognize.
HANNITY: Socialism?
PALIN: Well, that is where we are headed. That is where we have to be blunt enough and candid enough and honest enough with Americans to let them know that if we keep going down these roads nationalizing many of our services, our projects, our businesses, yes that is where we would head. And that is why Americans have to be paying attention. And we have to have our voices heard. And ultimately it need to be our will, the American peoples will imposed on Washington, instead of the other way around.
The interview is set to air tonight on FOXNEWS, 9 PM ET.

I'd still like her if she looked like Janet Reno.
We may know the time Ben Carson lied, but does anyone know the time Hillary Clinton told the truth?

I didn't vote for McCain, I voted for Palin and whoever was running with her. I'll vote for her again if given the opportunity. Is there really only one person like her, a true conservative, in the entire Republican party???

$11 trillion in debt. Unconscionable. But almost $5 trillion of that was under Bush, and that's where the bailouts started too. There's plenty of blood on both party's hands.
The solution is a balanced budget requirement. And a balanced budget means cutting spending and (unfortunately) raising taxes. The democrats are great at spending, but so are the Republicans. And cutting taxes while increasing spending is a recipe for disaster.
47 states face budget shortfalls (including Alaska whih is 6.8% short of the FY2009 general fund). Critiques are all very well and good. But we all know what the problem is. How about a solution?

In further news, Palin was exonerated of all wrongdoing in her political corruption investigation. Said investigation cost 1/3 of a Billion dollars.
Plinker reporting.

Ya just got to throw that in there didn't you? George Bush was not a true conservative, granted. BUT, he was a Hell of as lot better than what we have now don't you think? The Republican Party screwed the pooch after they had an opportunity to turn things around, starting with "The Contract With America". They proved that they were nothing but politicians, barely better than Democrats, spending money like a horny sailor on shore leave. A balanced budget sounds nice, but the only real way to do it is political suicide for most, to cut social spending instead of the extortion politicians use by cutting police and fireman first. That dead albatross is going to put us under if no-one gets a handle on it.

If that's what she thinks,...why did she agree to be a running mate to McCain?
He was all for ther bailouts,.....even took time off from his campaign to rush back to D.C. and vote for them.

Bush: Undermined individual liberty with executive orders. Raised the national debt $5 trillion. Took us into two wars on false premises. Obama: Continues to undermine individual liberty buy supporting wireless wiretapping, restriction of freedom of speech (planned), etc. Raising nationakl debt by over $1 trillion in first year. Continuing two wars. Is one better than the other. Frankly, there doesn't seem to be a lot of difference when it comes to action. Bush did cut taxes, but without any corresponding cuts in spending, which did a lot to increase the national debt. Our fiscal problems did not start in January 2009.

Sarah Palin, brains and beauty. I don't think we've seen the last of her. I'm waiting for the brains part. She certainly hasn't shown her intellectual powers yet. Crafty maybe. She's no Bill Buckley.

*yawn* Here we go again, it's all Bush's fault, can't you come up with something better than that? If Obama continues to spend like he is he will outspend Bush in his first year in office. Truely something to be proud of....

Bush and crew took a hard left turn. I think Rove and others were concerned with trying to get leftest votes to keep Republicans in power. Very stupid idea, but those folks don't live in the real world. Just because Bush and company showed how to do it wrong does not serve to justify the socialist Obama doing even more of the same.
