My top 3 are a Minox 13x56 binoc, a Swarovski 8x30 SLC binoc, and a Zeiss 1.8-5.5 Conquest.
I would rate the Swaro's as my best optic. Incredible resolution, forgiving to use, nice in the hand, and 7 seasons of yeoman duty with no problems. Love 'em.

I know that in the past couple of years I have upgraded my optics.. Have always had the cheaper Wal mart type scopes and binoculars; Simmons, Busnell, Tasco etc. Now I have middle of the road stuff; Pentax, Sightron, Minox,Vortex, Promaster, Alpen, etc. The difference is noticeable but I don't plan on moving up any further. Happy with the quality I have. Also got rid of all my plastic stocked rifles and got nice wood ones..lol

My finest optic is my Vortex Razor 10x42 Bino. My favorite in my little Minox BD8x32BR. Very pleased with both. Don't have the need or the funds to improve upon them.

My Swaro 10x42 EL's , they are slightly better and lighter than the 10x42 SLC's that came before, but iffy if they were worth the extra difference in scratch. RC828

I bought 1 Leupold VX-1 3-9x40 for my 7x57. Lightyears above the Centerpoints and Simmons' I have been using.

I have upgraded almost all of my rifle scopes to Leupold. My PH while I hunted in RSA used a Swaro binocular and I looked through them and they was spectacular indeed.
However I have many places to spend $1,600 so that will have to wait. There's a limit on how good I'm willing to own.

Anybody who seriously concerns themselves with the adequacy of a Big 7mm for anything we hunt here short of brown bear, is a dufus. They are mostly making shidt up. Crunch! Nite-nite!

There's a limit on how good I'm willing to own. If ever there was a quote about high-end optics that resonates with me... that's it... It's all about where that point of diminishing returns is. At least for me. At least most of the time.
