The area south of Eagle Nest Lake. I got drawn and am hunting with a friend who owns a Cabin in the area. I have seen pictures and there are plenty of Elk, but the bulls I have seen have been decent, not great. We will have horses and can get back country.

Tell me about the area if you have hunted it before.

I never hunted that unit, but there are some decent bulls in that area. I think almost all that unit is private land with a chunk of land owned by the game n fish

I'm a Guide on one of the sections of private land in 54...

There are some nice bulls around the lake and just over the ridge to the east...
Tolby Meadows has some "Toads" that hang in there especially during the rut...
