Hi Guys!

Well, its on to other projects! This one was a lot of fun and the end item is a really neat, handy and fast pointing carbine. I have been on a S&W Revolver collecting spree lately so some things have to go to help fund my addiction.

I would really prefer a "Trade" instead of an outright sale. I took it to the range this morning and it shoots like a house on fire! I think its more accurate than it was with a full length barrel. I am very pleased with the function and ergonomics of this rifle, it is a pleasure to shoot!

I sighted it in with the 1x Scout Scope using the "Winchester Supreme" 150 grain factory load. It strikes dead on at 200 yards and the trajectory looks like this: +3.3 inches high at 100 yards, +2.8 at 150 yards, 0 at 200 yards, -5.7" at 250 yards. The best two groups were 1.7", 1.8" cloverleaf patterned at 100 yards. Some younger eyes could probably improve on even this!

Thanks for all of your inspiring and positive comments! There has also been a lot of interest in my barrel band sling swivel setup.

I would gladly make a few for members who would like one for their lever gun. I would only charge a nominal amount for this service. I cant do any blued ones but can moly-coat it black, OD, parkerized, matte SS, satin & matte black. Let me know if interested. Best regards!

Here is a link to the thread discussing the gun;

Hi Ringworm,

The rear sight dovetail is being used by the XS Scout Scope mount, I have a williams peep sight on order that will be installed on the rear of the receiver as backup sights. The scope rings are Talley QD so you will be able to go to iron sights in less than a minute and return the scope to zero in the same time. Thanks for the note!

The finish is Norrell's Molycoat, it is very very durable and has been applied per the manufacturers reccomendations. Its about as rustproof and durable as you can get. I would say that hard chrome is better but much more expensive to apply and not easy for the home shop to do in small amounts.

Since no one has anything to trade I am now accepting offers! First decent one will be accepted. FTF in Connecticut or to your FFL after funds received. Three day inspection period.

PS: I will throw in the Rebel Flag if you are south of the Mason/Dixon line, otherwise "Im a Yankee Doodle Dandy" smile

Thanks

Jerry
