I finished this rifle today and took it to the range to test fire it. Here are the specs
9.3 X 64 Brenneke McMillan 80/20 Black & Gray Trued 700 Surface Ground Remy lug Rifle Basix Trigger @ 2.5 lbs Douglas #5 Stainless Steel Barrel @ 23.5" Warne Mounts Leupold PRW Rings Old Leupold V X II 1 X 4 Sako Extractor Bolt & Barrel Fluting, Cerakoting by Karl
I took 3 shots to sight it in @ 100 yards then shot a 3 shot group. I took the load from another web site. It consisted of RWS Brass, Speer 270 Soft Point, WLR, and 66.6 grains of RL-15. Sounds sinister doesn't it? Anyway, the first group measures .633" and with a 4 power scope I don't I can see any better than that!
I can't figure out how to post the pics in the reply. Anyway, here is the 1st group. Looks promising. I am going to try Big Game and IMR 4007 and 286 grain bullets. Anyone been there yet?
Looks good, but it appears that someone cut off the front of the scope.
He who joyfully marches in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would suffice.
