Close to Jourdanton. Lots of hunting pressure, but great genetics. Maybe not like Camp Bullis, but heavy, lots of stickers and cheater points.

I've posted this picture before, but this buck was shot on the ranch I grew up on (my Dad manages the place...we don't own it unfortunately).

I guess it has its unique charm, but I'd come closer to describing it as a $hithole. lol
Damn good Mexican food though! Yep, you can't beat Linda's. Getting damn expensive though. Last time a big ole hamburger with fries and tea cost nearly five dollars. I feel guilty when I go pay the bill because it so damn cheap so I leave a healthy tip.

M16, funny that you would mention Linda's. I ate there every day at lunch the entire time I was in high school. At the time she was in a little portable building with about 4 tables. Every Friday during football season she would fix all of us football players cake or cookies for desert. I think back then we paid about $4 for a enchilada plate with rice, beans and a glass of tea.
BP, I don't want to name the place it came off of, but it's SW of Charlotte in Atascosa Co.

Thanks. When I dream of a brush country buck, that's what he looks like. With a drop where that bump is! stumpy

The reason I asked was because it looks like a buck my cousin killed around thanksgiving about 10 years ago. It ranked 5th in Tx. non typical. Just curious if you shot the deer or Gary B. Best to ya .. BP...

Nah, I didn't shoot it, the ranch owner's grandson shot it. Sorry if I implied that somewhere. That's actually a replica of the real deer. It was shot about 5 years ago and netted 187 2/8.
