I use Varget in 7x57, 303 Britsh, 7 GNR, 7.62.54R, 356 Win, and 375 H&H. H1000 has always been my go to powder with the 25-06. I realize it maybe on the other side of the speed spectrum but years ago I had good luck with H380. Just never tried it in the 25-06. Any users out there?

I have always used 4831 in my 25-06 with all weights of bullets. My rifle loves it.

I've always found Varget to be too fast for bullets of 100 grains and over.

Not a Varget lover...........
RL-19 & RL-22 fill the bill on my 25-06 from 87 to 120 grains, but both versions of 4831 work well too.
Will try RL-17 as well when I get around to it.

ack, such blasphemy lol...
i have loaded .22-250, .223, .243, 6.5x55, .25-06, and .204 with varget and each time varget won out over IMR4064, H4350, H4895, etc.
just keeps ending up the best choice. i am pretty happy with varget.

You should consider RL-15..........usually fills the bill for the powders listed, at least in the cases I load for.
It's especially superb in the 7-08 with 120's-140's & the'o6 with 150 grain bullets.
I think Varget & RL-15 are both a bit too fast for top velocities in the 25-06 with bullets of 100 gr or more.
