I cut a ten gauge copper wire, bend like a little crank, and twist it in the primer pocket. The cut edge of the wire is parallel with the handle.. Works for me..

Another tool that I have used is a broken drill bit... Got to grind the flutes though.

I have never cleaned a primer pocket in nearly 40 years of handloading.

To clean primer pockets it's the primer pocket cleaner / uniformer sold by Sinclair. Made out of carbide (I think) and chucks into your electric drill. I use it every time even on new cases. It's the cat's meow. Bear in Fairbanks

A child between 8 and 12 works well as a primer pocket cleaner.
When one of those is not available I use a hand held RCBS brush. Used the Lee scraper type thing for 25 years then bought a brush. Seems to me the brush cleans the pocket more completely.

For sure! Load er up with the primer pocket uniformer heads and fly at it. Keep a little shop vac handy because the crud builds up pretty quick too.
I like it here. They let me swear.

I was using a brush but I bought some stainless steel media and a Thumler Model B. Dawn water and 2-3 hours in the tumbler and they look like new inside and out.

I put a primer pocket brush on a cordless drill and go to town. Same here. With that set up, I can fly thru cases in short order.

I clamp a drill to the reloading bench, with the chuck pointing up, and lower the shell onto it while it's running. Same thing works for reaming the primer pocket, just switch from the brush to the reamer.
I should have just bought a [bleep] T3...
