I just looked at a CZ550 in .458 Lott online. The barrel is stamped .458 win mag while the box says .458 Lott and the serial numbers match? Any CZ Lott owners have their rifles stamped the same? I realize that you can shoot win mag in a Lott. Just wondering because of traveling with a rifle that doesn't match the ammo headstamps.

I know, it's a bit confusing, my CZ has .458 Lott/ .458 Win Mag stamped on the barrel.

In my opinion it looks kind of tacky, and is one of my few complaints with an otherwise great rifle.

When CZ first started chambering for the Lott, they were simply re-reaming existing Win.mag rifles. Some of the barrels got re-stamped, while others didn't.
