Why don't we destroy the Taliban and let Afghanistan have Hitlery, Shtumer, Finestink and a few others as their rulers? Man we could kill them all without firing a shot!
This crisis is confirming to the American people what alot of us knew all along. We've finaly gotten ourselves a good President! Praise God, and pray for Gee Dubya!
7mm

-- 1. HEROIC PASSENGERS
Alongside this keyboard rests a brand-new Taurus eight-shot, four-inch .357 Magnum "eightgun" -- a just-in-case, social "turret gun" for this *&^%$#@! wheelchair. Every mention or memory of the passengers who took on those hijackers hand-to-hand makes me wonder again:
If ONE of those passengers had had this little artillery piece on his belt, WHERE would that aircraft had landed safely, with HOW MANY dead hijackers, instead of plowing that huge pit in Pennsylvania?
-- 2. HILLARY
When a group of Gold Star Mothers (who'd lost sons in combat) visited the Senate recently, ONE U S senator refused to meet with 'em.
Does anybody here have to be TOLD which senator?

Texas Hunter:
The last thing I'm going to ever do is support Hillary Clinton.
I too saw her on the tube last night showing having no enthusiasm for what the President said. I also know quite well that "her state" was involved in this tragedy (my childhood home town by the way). With all that said I would never accuse her of "not being with us".
Please don't confuse this with the thought that I support her, or don't support the President and our need to take vigourous action. All I was trying to say is that as long as we single out others for persecution because they don't agree with us (or the majority - any majority), we're not as strong as we can be.
For me, what's happened in the past week has got me talking about about how everyone can come together, not how so and so is a traitor.
Maybe if I put it this way... I'm in the same corner as you are. And I just feel I'd rather focus on the brute coming across the ring at me, not on the blonde referee trying to make it a fair fight.
7mmbuster:
You wrote... Cayuse: I see your side. And I am not flameing you either. I just can't quite choke down the pics of Hillary and say ok I forgive the witch.
I do not want dissension. We need to stick together.
HEY at least we all agree she is a weasel ! isn't that sorta, kinda, like sticking together?
(grin)
Tex

Texa Hunter:
To digress a moment from my stated position: I don't forgive her. I've just choose to ignore her now. And I can keep ignoring her because she'll vote with Bush on this until the majority of Americans stop supporting him. And if she doesn't, everyone will remember she was a dissenter when she shouldn't have been and she won't get to run for President, which will put her out of politics for good.
Like your humor... "isn't that sorta, kinda, like sticking together?"
Yes it is. And if we all never agree on anything else, I think Hillary deserves a big round of applause for bringing us together ;-).
Cayuse

Cayuse: I'm cool with you dude. (grin)
You have brought me 180 degrees around. I see the light !!
Thank god Hillary is here to bind us together! Course I think she would of preferd to wear a black leather corset and black thigh high leather boots and maybe used handcuffs ??? Like she does with Bill baby !!! And a good thing too as Monica said the scars from Hillary's cowboy spurs on Bills rump roast were finally starting to heal too ! What a shame ! (grin)
(grin)
Tex
P.S. Can you say YEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAAAAW ?
I knew you could ! (LMAO)

The Pres had the heart of a lion last night.
Let's hope it's contagious!
Tex, glad to see you hangin' in there with the good sense of humor (either that or you're getting delirious.)
And I totally agree with Dr. Howell. One armed pilot, or crew member, or passenger, etc would have solved the problem altogether.

Well my 2cents. I like that Bush said everything flatout. No room for waffling or mincing of words, we havn't seen that kinda thing in Washington for a long time. I was reminded by my wifw that back during Somalia when they were draging those boys though the street and Billy turned his back I said we were in trouble cause it showed anybody could do what they wanted and we would basic take it. Well now we have a leader...
AS for Hilly, don't trust her to support Bush, she will work behind the scenes till it's in her advantage to do so openly. She is not with Bush, the military, the victims or this COUNTRY! ...........She is with her! Make no mistake about pulling together. But I've heard " keep your friends close and your enemies closer", THATS Hilly....

Cayuse, you must have misunderstood my meaning.
I said: Why don't we destroy the Taliban and let Afghanistan have Hitlery, Shtumer, Finestink and a few others as their rulers? Man we could kill them all without firing a shot!
I aint talking about killing Hitlery and her ilk. With people like that running the country, Afghanistan would be the ones in trouble.
One of the Founding Fathers said "I may not agree with what you say, but I'll defend to the death the right of you to say it". I bet after listening to some of these, (Hillary ect.) he'd change his mind.
7mm

I am so sick of B. Clinton at this point also ! Did you just hear that next week he will fly on FOUR commercial airlimes flights so we can all be reassured that everything is just Okey Dokey with air travel now???
Its a shame because I read about them taking 4 arab men off a flight day before yesterday, because no one else would fly on the plane with them. I think it's unfair for the arab gentleman but....... I would of done the same thing with 4 arabs on my flight like that also.
In fact I would get the h*ll off if I saw 4 arabs or Bill Clinton on the plane. (grin)
Tex

I appreciated everything about the speech. Can't think of anything I dissagree with. But he's a politician and I don't trust politicians. What he says is great. But the true test will be in what he does. We need leadership from him. GW's recent speech is a good start. But it's just the beginning.
Can he put together a coalition, like his father did? Can he sustain it, 3 years from now? We shall see.
Will he support the required invasion of Afghanistan? Will he support assination of terrorist groups around the world? Will he support required invasions of other countries offering safe haven to terrorists? Can he provide the leaderhip necessary to maintain the support of the liberal left inside our country? We shall see.
Can he continue to provide that same leadership when citizen support begins to waver? When our weak kneed liberals start to whine about casualties? We shall see.
A couple years from now, when the mothers of terrorists that we have killed claim the innocents of their sons, will he still be able to provide the leadership that we need to continue? We shall see.
I hope to God that he can and does, for the sake of our country and for the sake of my children. It will take an effort of several years to ensure that they have the same freedom that we had before the WTC disaster.

Looks like we are all on the same page with this one.
One thing about Algore. I think he looks a lot better with the beard. Sort of reminds me of #1 on the Star Trek Next Generation. But then he opens his mouth and still sounds like a 4 year old mongoloid.
This is my last week in California. This moving business is for the birds. Have to change my handle too. Sort of a rebirth.

I too thought it was a great speech, as for the reaction from the b*tch it doesn't surprise me one bit.

quote:
He couldn't've made that speech.
Couldn't've written it.
Couldn't've read it if someone else wrote it, not even with the help of the Teleprompter.
Like you, I thank God that Gore didn't have the podium that night. It scares me to think how the whole situtation would be handled if gore was in office.
