I used a yellow hopper on the G this afternoon (above T Fk) to give them fits. It was fairly toasty but things still worked out well....4 me

Yup try a #6 Pheasant tail too. I hate split shot so I usually use big nymphs for the weight or sink tips for streamers. My two favorite nymphs are BH PT's 6-20 and BH Prince's 6-20. always run some sort of dropper. I do like Zugs and bitch creeks for early summer too.

Suppose to be 95 here today. Did find a few in the shadows before it got hot though.

I got one little cute creek for Brookies, if you have no freudian issues with 10-12 inchers! Really fun water with a microlight spin, or a tiny 3 wt. creek rod... grin Locale is about right, little more than half way, but then youd have to come up for BBQ too.... wink

You guys ever want to sacrifice some tackle to the fishing gods, come try and flyfish the creek on my land (native cutts)...

I started with a dry fly, just dabbing it down through the brush... Aaargh! Then I tried to get a wet fly under the banks... Aaargh! Ran the gamut- lost a couple Panther Martins, a little spoon...

I won't confess how we finally figured out how to fish the damn thing... But it starts with a "w". Please don't kill me! smile

I grew up fishing New Mexico and Colorado. This little creek (Hannevan creek) is about as far from that as you can get. In fact I didn't believe there were trout in the sumbitch, despite what the neighbor said, until one took my... uh... "w"... smile

The CENTER will hold.

One of my redneck buddies snagged a HUGE carp at Bozeman beach the other day. Said he thought he had the world record bass on the line until big nasty finally came in after the epic battle.

Hooked it with a crankbait right in the tail, judging from the phone pics it musta been an easy 15lbs.

I used to sneak along the Missouri's banks back home and spear them with my ice fishing spear. Big fun back in the day!
