Everyone knows they're not known for accuracy. Good thing they're only designed to compete with lever actions..
I replace valve cover gaskets every 50K, if they don't need them sooner...

RL what are you running in that 7? I hit my comfort level at 2980 in the 7mm Rem Mag with 160 Partitions.

You must have a lot of spare time and a good gunsmith to get those rifles to shoot. A good professional bedding job is usually all it takes to get a Ruger or a Model 7 to work.

Even a Weatherby (a.k.a Howa) can me made to shoot sometimes. I just don't like having to work on a new gun.
My friends new .308 Howa is a 2MOA gun. That's good enough for most large game. Nothing we have been able to do will make it shoot MOA. Made in Japan just don't excite me.

$300 Wally's special. The factory target was right at 1". It shot right at MOA with several loads before I added a B&C Medalist stock. I tuned the trigger and just bolted into thee B&C, no bedding work. It's shooting 180 Partitions at 3200 fps into right at inch. Weatherby has an accuracy guarantee Howa doesn't.m Made in Japan doesn't me.

maybe its the operator....my 257 Roy Vanguard is a two inch gun....at 300 yards. And it's essentially stock.
and my kids' crappy little youth model 7....which Mickey is now converting to a walking varminter since they've outgrown it....will stay under an inch with about anything you feed it, including all varieties of milsurp.
YMMV, of course.
