So right before a hunt I have a feeding problem with the rifle I really want to take, a 700 Mountain KS. I described the problem in the Gunsmithing forum, but curious if anyone can recommend a Smith in the Anchorage/valley area. I live in Eagle River.

I have had good luck with Steve in the past. Pretty staight up guy. There used to be a guy named Homer Strickland who lived on the hillside. He specialized in 700's, but I think he moved south.

I'd go with Steve also, he's done some work for me and he did a fantastic job. Have also seen other work he's done and he know's his [bleep] and has the equimpent to handle any job.

Just to follow-up...Steve was great; doing steady business but made time; seems like a great all-around guy as well.
