Hi
I've never taken an elk with my rifle and this year I drew a very hard tag to draw. So now I want a factory 7mm stw round that works great on elk.
Any one got any information for me??

I'm pretty sure Winchester loads the 160gr Failsafe for the 7mm STW..

I also know that Sper/Nitrex uses the Grand Slam. I'll check for others at work today.

Federal Premium loads carry a 160g bullet, believe it's Sierra. I hunted with a guy last year that took two bulls at substantial range with it.

I've been shooting the 160 gr game kings in the Federals for deer the last couple years and they do shoot good out of my gun.
But they don't hold together at all for deer even, that's why I thought I might look into something a little better built.
There is room for all of God's creatures, right next to the mashed potatoes!
