I return home from fishing and learn that the ball is rolling. That is most excellent news. I'll happily pay more taxes until this matter is clarified and justice is done(or forever,I don't care).
I'm in no mood for bunny-hugging bullsheet,I hope we are rolling up our sleeves and truly meaning business,as only we can. After all the Clinton scandals and turncoating,I can again say that I'm quite proud of my Country. I trust we are sending our best, using them wisely and taking no prisoners(literally). President Bush has thus far impressed me,with his candor and convictions, the man's heart is with his people.
There is one thing every critter in this World understands and that is an azz kicking. May we deliver one with such might, that noone would ever be foolish enough,to pizz us off again.
And I don't mean maybe...............

Don't know if my Nephew was sent over, haven't heard from him in awhile. But some of the unit left last week. I think some 3,000 men of the 10th Mountain Division, from Fort Drum New York.
Phil
As a side note: (Last month my 24 year old Nephew got Married! While at Fort Drum he met and married a beautifull 32 year old blond with 5 kid's. Never said the kid was very smart. But the girls parrents are rich!)
Phil

Report is after heavy bombing we are going "downtown" tonight, meaning ground troops will be strafying fleeing rats as they try to withdrawl from the city.

A while back I made a statement that, "I didn't think Bush had it in him." I'm glad to see I was wrong. I hope now he finishes his mission, and maybe gets Saddim at the same time.
Phil

For those of you that haven't noticed. We've righted a 15 year old wrong today, with the discontinuance of the B-1 bomber program. And actually putting this plane to use in the new action. They should never have stopped the B-1A.
But since I haven't a picture, here's a few others.

Phil

Love the photos Phil, especially the Stealth fighters. They look menacing. I'm glad that GW is in the White House and I think the measured approach, as long as it is determined and relentless is the right way to go. God Bless America. badger.

Developed, and built in the early 80's. This plane has never seen action. I believe it will show exceptional service, and while all the tooling has long since been destroyed. I believe after this is over a new version will be put into production.
Note the Empty Weight, and Take Off Weight.
Phil
The B1-B Lancer

General Characteristics
Primary Function: Long-range, multi-role, heavy bomber
Builder: Rockwell International, North American Aircraft (now The Boeing Company)
Operations Air Frame and Integration: Offensive avionics, Boeing; defensive avionics, AIL Division, Eaton Corporation
Power Plant: Four General Electric F-101-GE-102 turbofan engines with afterburner
Thrust: 30,000-plus pounds with afterburner, per engine
Length: 146 feet (44.5 meters)
Wingspan: 137 feet (41.8 meters) extended forward, 79 feet (24.1 meters) swept aft
Height: 34 feet (10.4 meters)
Weight: Empty, approximately 190,000 pounds (86,183 kilograms)
Maximum Takeoff Weight: 477,000 pounds ((216,634 kilograms)
Speed: 900-plus mph (Mach 1.2 at sea level)
Range: Intercontinental, unrefueled
Ceiling: More than 30,000 feet (9,144 meters)
Crew: Four (aircraft commander, pilot, offensive systems officer and defensive systems officer)
Armament: Up to 84 Mark 82 conventional 500-pound bombs, or 30 CBU-87/89/97, or 24 JDAMS. I do feel sorry for the common folks over there. Those that have no part in the decision making and are just trying to live hand to mouth. As for the ones that keep hollering Holy War I hope we make them smell Hell.
BCR
