I've been giving the longbow a summer workout. It appears to be the ticket. It's light and convenient, and I'm looking forward to get bunch of blood on it.

wyoelk - as RR mentioned it is not on the webpage yet. My understanding is that they have not done this yet, because they wanted to avoid "the waiting list"!

So, the only advertising is done through word-of-mouth and the forum.

But, to get the best and true answer give MR a call.

Greenhorn- will you be using this in lieu of the Crew Cab? Care to compare/contrast the two? Thanks.

I also have a long bow and plan to use it in lieu of the CC. Not getting rid of the CC though. My plan is to use it in place of the CC for a season to get a feel for it.

Advantages of the LB are its lighter and its easier to organize your gear. Mark did a killer job in the design and function of the pack.

I have one on order as well.

Unfortunately, I can't afford having both the CC and Longbow. So my CC is currently listed in the classifieds. :-(

I hope I don't regret selling the CC. It has been a great pack.

So, if I have this correct, it's 2,200 ci daypack ($189) on a NICE frame ($250) for a $439 daypack, is that pretty much right?

What is the total weight of this pack without anything in it?? With the nice frame attached? Anyone have some closeup internal pic or with a load?? Wouldn't mind one of these if I could get a little more info on it. I'm such a pack whore.

Charles A looks to be on the money, as this is the breakdown.

NICE Frame = 4lbs 5oz
Pack = 2lbs 4oz
Total weight = 6lbs 9oz

Here is a link with several pics that might help:
