I am posting this for a friend who is not "yet" a forum member. He's not to much of a computer guy. But anyway he's searchign for a reasonably priced LH Bolt Action Rifle. He's just got into hunting in the past couple of years but does not own a rifle. Last year he used a lever action of mine but he didn't like it that much. So he shot another friends LH bolt gun and that did it for him.
If you have a LH bolt gun in just about any popular Whitetail caliber let me know. Send pics if you can, definately include an asking price, guns do not have to be in New condition to be of interest.
Enjoy the hunt while it lasts!

I've got a SS LH Tikka in 300WSM that is like new with Limbsaver recoil pad, box, papers, and spare mag. I'm willing to sell without the scope for $550.

And while I do not know czgunner, I encourage you to consider his offer. A spare mag runs about $50, the Limbsaver is $30, so the net cost of the gun is $470--a screaming price. I have the same gun, blued, and it is about as non-finicky as any gun I have ever worked with.
The only downside is that the 300 WSM is more cartridge than is needed for PA whitetailed deer. You should have your friend shoot a gun with similar recoil (a 30-06 for example) to make sure that he is up for it. As a beginning hunter, there is no advantage to "over gunning" him.

Thank for the great initial response but I think we are going to ad some specifications to the origial post.
Looking for classic common cartridges such as .243, .25-06, .270, .308, .30-06 due to ease of locating ammo and ammo pricing. Also that is all that is needed. Possibly 7mm-08, .260 Rem, .257 Roberts, or others. No magnum calbers please.
BUt once again thank you for the previous offers.

There is a decent looking LH M700 BDL in .243 on gunbroker with a current bid of $450, three days left to go. Buy it now is $550. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=137308859M700 BDL .30-06 with 1 day and change left to go, currently at $407. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=137124828Brand new LH Ruger Hawkeye in 7mm-08 but I think they're going to want a lot of money for it. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=137381162Bud's gun shop almost always has a good suply of LH rifles in stock in .270 and .30-06, sometimes other calibers. LH M700 SPS rifles are currently $510 delivered. LH stainless Tikka's are more at $610, but that's about the best price on the net I've seen recently for new LH Tikka's. If'n it were me looking for a friend I'd keep a close watch on that .243 first mentioned. I've had three M700 (okay, one was an M78) .243's and all were tack drivers.
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!
