PLEASE HELP!! I was cleaning my a-bolt and the boss system, the boss system started to turn so i unscrewed it but now it will not go all the way back on. I need this gun for a elk hunt I'm leaving for in 6 weeks. please help

the nut and BOSS itself are big enough threads that there is no way to cross-thread them.

IIRC, there is a nylon strip that sits in a groove on one side to (supposedly) minimize loosening.

my guess it that either:

the nylon strip is binding or blocking

there is a burr on the edge the strip fits into (on the bbl threads)
