Stick, the guns AMT copied seem to be OK but their own design seemed to have a lot of problems, at least the Auto-mag series that I had. I did shoot one of their long Slide Hardballers and it was a good shooter, but it is pretty hard to foul up a 1911 they would had to have been trying. The 22 mag would only shoot Winchester ammo with out jamming and the 30 carbine was not going to shoot anything without stove piping at least one in five rounds. The fine folks at AMT would not even respond to my inquiries. Thus I wouldn't own another AMT. I do wish that little 22 mag would have been a shooter I would still have it. But junk is junk. I even orderd a 45 Win. Mag from them but they wisley never got it into production.

Anything by Lazzaroni simply because of the asinine names for the chamberings.

BTW something I've always wondered about. If the people of France are French, and the people of Holland are Dutch why aren't the people of Belgium Belch?

Anything by Lazz because of the COST of the rifles and ESPECIALLY the ammo.
No need to pay like that to kill animals. Serves a small % of the POP who GOTTA have speed.

Actually, that is the sound that a Canuck makes while reading one of T Lee's posts while at the same time eating fried Back bacon and drinking Labatt's Blue!

Any semi-automatic, including 22 rimfires, any Weatherby rifle. The rest I can live with. Regards, Eagleye.

All the centerfire rifles I own have Remington 700 or Rugger 77 tang safety actions.

I'd like to add to my list the following:

1) Anything AMT, I too have had bad experiences with them in the past.

2) Most any semi auto big bore rifle

3) Most any assult type rifle ie. SKS, AR15, UZI, MAC10, etc.

4) BLR

5) Savage 99 (I know it's a classic, but I don't like it)

My "NOT TOO WILD ABOUT" list

1) Sako, (poor scope mounting system, too high priced for what you get)

2) ABolt, (too much pot metal, but they sure do shoot)

3) Winchester being owned by the French

4) Savage, (they look and feel cheap, but they sure do shoot, the new Ultra is a great looking rifle though)

5) Tikka T3, (any rifle that tries to use one size fits all actions, thank goodness Savage saw the light on the 110)

Most of all, any poorly bubba-ed rifle. Sacrelege, blasphemy to take any good milsurp and turn it into a grotesque caricature of itself!

Well I am different than alot of you are in some ways. I see absolutly no need in the SKS, Mini, AK junk. I figure if this country was to be invaded and they actually reach Wyoming, me standing there with an AK sure the heck isnt going to do a thing. I would rather shoot at them from a long ways off. So none of them for me.

hate single shots
not a big fan of Savage but I hear some shoot like no other so that could change.
Cheap rifles.
Not a big Rem fan either although I would own a few of them.
You can keep your lever actions and semi-auto rifles.
Leupold scopes.

On ther hand, I love a pertty Weatherby, Browning, Blaser, or Sako shiny stock. To me fit and finish is just below accruacy in importance. I prefer comfort in shooting so brakes are A-OK with me, if you cant handle the noise, dont hunt or shoot by me cause I dont care I still love a good syth/stainless rifle though, something about that black and silver that just looks good.
