I just picked it up. It has a 4 in barrel and it is bright and shiny. It appears to have a parkerized finish and when i pulled the ugly grips on it that were on it and put these on it that I picked up off gunbroker, I didn't notice any markings on it that would indicate it to be a government or lease model. It does have a laynard hole on it but it is not plugged. It doesn't have the flaming bomb on it. The serial number on it is 984727 with no prefix and is on the underside of the barrel, cylinder and bottom of the frame on the handle.

That's a whole lot of gun for not a lot of money. I believe the correct grips for that gun would be plain, smooth walnut. Regardless, you did very well.

I will be looking for a correct set of grips and a lanyard ring for it. I was told it should of shipped with a smooth set of walnut grips. I also will be shooting it in the next couple of days and will report on how it shoots.

well got to the range today and shot it. 12 yards shooting Mag Tech 158 gr FMC 15 shots. What a joy it was to shoot it. The more I shoot it the better I will get. Not bad for the first time out though.

Nice picture. Thanks. I love the K-Frame classics too. I assume you were firing double action?
