I will be hunting near my home (I hope). I am scuoting for a "Sweet Spot" in the Alsea Unit.

I have general Season (august-dec?) for Black Bear;

Blacktail Deer;

Mountian Lion; and

I will also get a general season Elk tag.

I will salmon fish in the Umpqua RIver in a few week too!

The planis to Hunt on Monday Mornings when all the other guys ar at work.

A bunch of moose, sheep and elk preference points in the hopper but for this fall a high country, Sept. mule deer hunt in Wyo with a bear tag in the back pocket.

After that, getting some Iowa and S.D. ringnecks acquainted with a new Vizsla young-un.

I'll be in Yakima County WA. Mostly looking for a place to hide. Kevlar long johns are the order of the day.
Just about daylight of opening day you will hear a dull roar start up and then the light wll dim slightly. This will be gunfire and bullets in the air coming from the camps in the area. After all only wusses dont carry a 44 mag in camp.
Hunting season in one form or another runs from Sept to Dec. and where ever you happen to be standing is as good a place as any.

bear opens this Sunday so I'll do that on the weekends and alittle after work. I leave for Prince of Wales August 28th and will get 10 days for bear and deer. I'm going to hunt deer and elk in my home state in the same areas I always do.

while I'm out there, I might have time to hit another state or two nearby on some public land. Never seen the Atlantic, so perhaps I'll go all the way. Any bucks in the surf off North Carolina?

(you folks in NC, any suggestions for hunting on the western side?)

Usual Oregon stuff..General season bear,cougar,blacktail deer,+ upland bird. Winter cow hunt,Jan 1-Feb28.

Going Elk hunting end of August, got two mulie doe tags, one mulie either-sex tag
all draw tags so my odds are good. November will bring whitetail, two tags if I wish. All here in Saskatchewan.

It should be a real good year.

Nice bag, for just one province (or state).
Gotta pity the folks in a place like Nevada- it's a great place (and will be until the Calif hordes complete their takeover) and has some wonderful hunting, but is a tough draw for everything, even for residents.

We are lucky up here in Canada, as we still have fairly liberal hunting regulations and lots of land.

In Ft. McMurray, we are lucky enought to be out of the mainstream of the civilized world, but live in a center that is large enough to support an airport and Hospital( of sorts!),



and a decent highway to get out with.

Well mostly I'll probably hunt for my battery chargers for the digital cameras and video camera. Then I'll likely spend some time before the season is over hunting for my keys. They seemed to get misplaced a lot during hunting season for some reason. Now if I can find the battery chargers and keep an eye on my keys I may try to hunt for whitetail, mule deer, antelope, black bear, and possibly blacktailed deer and wild boar this fall. Throw in some pheasants, huns, sharptailed grouse, and cottontail rabbits just for fun. Oh yeah, and a turkey. Then there's those darn foxes, badgers, and coyotes. All the animals will be hunted in Montana except the blacktailed deer and wild boar. Now I just have to remember to not spend too much time hunting for critters or I'll be hunting for a new wife by the end of the season. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

No mine is boring. I live in NJ <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" /> and I go to PA to hunt deer in the fall. I do this so I can use my handgun to hunt with. As NJ doesn't allow any handgun of rifle hunting. So I end up going across the state line to some real hunting. I also go to the poconos area in PA so as the last year or so you can take a bear if you see one do to high bear encounters up there. So its not very exciting as an elk or moose or whatever but I can afford to do it and Its a fun time even though I am hunting by myself.

C'mon, 44andahalf,
no hunting is boring (although boaring is hunting). A buck & bear trip with a handgun is as good as most.
Most of my hunts are solo, and it suits me fine. Hunting with a few friends is fun, too, but they're such different experiences- I like them both.

Deer & elk here in CO. Tomorrow I am checking into a last minute Caribou hunt for AK or Canada; along with leftover antelope in WY and landowner tags for antelope in NM.

I'm not. I missed out on deer, elk and antelope. So stop asking me about it.

I drew a permit for the Killy River caribou herd on the Kenai, so I'll be caribou hunting. My partner drew one (after 25 years!) for the Kenai Mt herd, so I'll be caribou hunting. Between times, there's moose. I want that bad boy (about 60" ) that I saw at 8:30 am the day after season last year. He's still there, I think, and I know where there's another pretty similar
Trouble is, theyr'e both smarter than we are. Or were last year. but I've been studying. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

My hunting partner and I will be going after high desert mulies in Idaho. I will also try to get out a couple of times for chukars and grouse. And, I will also get out for a bit of coyote hunting (year round effort here, as they are often seen running down the streets around my part of town). With two small kids, it doesn't leave as much time as I'd like. The upside is that, in a couple more years, I'll have one or both of them with me, so will be able to get out more and more <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />. We are also planning on hunting mulies in SE Oregon and NE Utah, over the next couple of years, if it works out <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

No money to travel to the next state to hunt.

I'll have to find it all here in NC.

If It's in season I'm after it!
