Last winter one of my venders gave me a Moss.535 12 ga.w/28" barrel and slug barrel.for amount of money spent with his co. I talked to my Smith and he said he would cut it down to 24" rethread it for my choke tubes, ect.Im thinking about turnning it into a dedicated coyote gun since I have nothing into it. He wants 115.00 for the work.do you guys think this would adversely afect the preformance.it shoots well with a .680 choke, but its a little unwieldly with a 28" and a extended choke tube.Your input is wanted. Thanks,Bob.

Personally, I think 24" is the perfect length for both predator calling and turkey hunting.
Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.

I think you'll love it.
You may not be able to continue using the Mossy chokes, check with your 'smith to find out what chokes he will be setting it up for.
I sure like my 22" 935. Don't get any extra blast to speak of and its a lot more nimble. BTW, it still kills ducks and geese when called apon to do so.

Couldn't you get a camo turkey barrel for about the same money?

Coldcase1984 has a great point.
Just looked and you should be able to get a camo 22" 535 xxfull turkey barrel for about $200. The chokes from your 28" will fit the 22" and you still have both in working order.
