I can't find it now but I have seen a good discription of choosing the correct heigth when changing the front sight. My 99 shoots way high at 50 yds. (trying to get on the paper) having the rear leaf sight at bottom. So I will have to have a taller rear sight. Can anyone help me on this one ?. Thanks.

Brownells has a chart near the Williams sights in the catalog. Or just go to the Williams sight I suppose. It is a little confusing but it should help. Executioner

This is a easy way to determine the front sight height you need. Remove the present front sight and take a stiff piece of copper wire and wrap around the front of the barrel and leave one end sticking up as a frond sight and then shoot and trim off the wire until you get your group centered and then measure the wire and then you have the front sight height you need for your rifle.

Everything you now do is something you have chosen to do. Some people don't want to believe that. But if you're over age twenty-one, your life is what you're making of it. To change your life, you need to change your priorities.

Somehow -- I have this topic in the wrong forum section !!!! Sorry.. How can I move it ??? OK, I worked it out but have a question.. Measurement "B" states it is "the distance from the top of the barrel to the top of the rear sight." I think it should read "distance from the top of the barrel to the top of the rear sight notch ( V or U cutout you sight the front sight in). You don't sight off the top of the rear sight, you center and level the front sight in the notch. If you use the "B" height from the top of the rear sight measure, you end up with a pretty tall front sight.
