I have an old steel-tubed Weaver K4 mounted on my pre-64 M-70. It has click adjustable windage and elevation knobs. Anybody have any idea of the timeframe when Weaver went from friction adjustments to click adjustments?
Not really, but the K4 I have was obtained from a friend many years ago. Fairly sure the scope was purchased new by him sometime in the mid to late 60's and it's click-adjustments on this one.
I also have a K2.5 that was (still is) on a used 22 Hornet I bought in 1964, the scope wasn't particularly pristine even then and it's also click-adjustable.
If three or more people think you're a dimwit, chances are at least one of them is right.
BMR, I believe that all the 'K' scopes are click adjustable. My 'J' scope, which is older, has the friction adjustment like the Leupolds. I bought the 'J' in the early 1950's,and the 'K' in the late 1950's. Frank
