Can Anyone give me ideas as to how to mount my binoculars to a tripod or to a specific tripod set up used for binoculars. I do not see any fixture or screw on my Nikon Action EX 10x50s. I do have a camera tripod and maybe there is a way to mount it to that. Please give me ideas....thanks...

Never tried one, but here's one option:

See if that front plastic cap with the NIKON label screws out. If it does, I like this, or this;

Swarovski tripod adaptor.

The strap-over systems are not my favorite.

Rick,
Nice tri pod mount. I tried a Stoney Point walking stick (adjustable) with the rubber coated 'V" on top last time I was in Mexico chasing Mule Deer. Worked great as I used it for a hiking stick (needed more and more as time flys by) and a rest for my binos. In fact my buddy who brought a pair of the Leica "Big Eyes" liked it real well. It makes a pretty good rifle rest too and is real light and easy to handle. Not as steady as a tri pod though but a little more versatile.

I have a few pair of bino's and the best set-up I have ever used is the Swarovski set-up showed at the bottom of RickBins picture. the only problem is that they only work on the SLC line. if you have EL's the adapter was made by Mickey Mouse himself at the Anaheim facility and not worth using.

I've got the Swarovski quick attach/detach unit for my 15x56 SLC's and I love em.

The little adaptor Minox makes is really nice. The design has been around for awhile now and it works well. Back in the day one company that used that same design had a male attachment that had a V at the top so you could take your bins off attach the V and shoot off it.
Sorry don't have a pic but maybe someone can find one.

I've bolted an extra quick connect to an appropriate lenth piece of aluminum, drilled holes in the end and can use small bungee to hold the bins to the plate.

I had the materials sitting in my shop, took me about 20 minutes to put together & works for me.

Mike.

Jim White in Williams AZ makes tripod adapters for various binos.

The Outdoorsmans also has an adaptor that they say works on ELs
