Is this rifle "magnum" rated? I can't find any info on T/C's website.

It will handle 150 grains of 777. Pellets, that is. Shouldn't go over 120 grains loose 777.

Thanks.
I'm shooting 295 gr Powerbelts (.50 cal) over 3-50 gr pellets. Accuracy is terrible @ 100 yds. Four shots, after a fouling shot, "patterned" at about 24". The scope is secure, it's a 3-9x40 Trijicon. Any ideas??

DoeSlayer- Might consider trying 2 pellets, then, if accuracy doesn't improve, some different bullets. I wasn't impressed with the PB's in my TC. What's the weather in your neck of the woods? I'm coming down next Friday for a week to carry the ML and get chewed by mosquitoes.

It's been very nice. 70's during the day, 50's at night. The mosquitos pretty much disappeared about a month ago. They were terrible over the Summer. We also had a bumper crop of fire flys (lightning bugs). They're gone too . I'm originally from Rhinelander, so I know all about mosquitos. Thanks for the info on the ML. I'm new to these things.

DoeSlayer,
FWIW I haven't met too many people who get good groups with the PB and 3 pellets out of an Omega. As Scott said, try two pellets with the PB, or try a 250 grain shockwave (or hornady sst or barnes TMZ) with two or three pellets.
If you are getting a crud ring from the 777 that might be the reason for the bad groups - you might not be seating that PB all the way down due to the crud ring. Might try spit patching between shots so that the crud ring doesn't affect accuracy.

I had 4 pellets left, so shot twice, first shot dead center @ 100 yds, 2nd shot about an inch to the right. Much better...
A friend of mine suggested the Shockwave, I guess it's T/C's bullet designed for the Omega?
Huge crude ring after 6 shots. I just finished cleaning up the barrel. Thanks for the tip!!
Anything out there cleaner than the 777 pellets? I don't mind measuring charges if there is an accuracy/cleanliness advantage.
Joe

You might want to bring them just in case. I live near Ottawa, KS, it's about an hour SW of Kansas City. No mosquitos here. And it's been a very wet Summer. Where are you hunting?

Joe- Chanute area. BTW, get yourself some Blackhorn 209 for your ML and forget about that stinkin crud ring.

If you don't get an acceptable group with the T/C shock-waves I will be shocked. Very liitle smoke and and "No" crub ring and importantly no cleaning in-between shots with BH-209. Doc

I went into town this afternoon to see what our very small gunshop had in stock for ML supplies. I picked up some more 777 pellets and some Hornady saboted 250 gr bullets. Two pellets gave 1,438 fps MV and a decent 4-shot group @ 100 yds of 2.34" . After cleaning the rifle, I uped the charge to 3 pellets increasing MV to 1,773 fps, but grouping was in the 6" range . I'll stop by Cabelas Friday night after work to see if they have some BH 209 and shockwave bullets.

DS-
If you purchased the Hornady SST's, you needn't spend extra cheddar on the Shockwaves - same booolit, (produced by Hornady for TC) just a different color tip and sabot sleeve.

DoeSlayer, loose powder will normally give you better results since you can fine tune your loads.
