Nope. Bessemer. Noticed you and a couple others mentioning some places I'm familiar of/with. I'm still trying to make some small talk, get my foot in the door here. Wish I had a camp pic to post (I have some) but my uncle had other plans and the "family" camp was sold.
bummer about the camp being sold. I know how you feel. My uncle sold his camp to pay for a wedding...I'll let that sink in for a minute, and then let you guess if they're still married.
No tar paper just wood planks. I have been told the the house is over 100 years old. No electricity or running water but it's warm and dry. There is another room and we can sleep 6. It's rough but I love going there. I'll be spending the first week of November there.
You Betcha, tzone. Actually, my youngest son will have it to himself for the opener. The oldest has to work and won't be up until Tuesday nite. I fixed up that back porch to try it on for my new stand. I've told the boys for ten years my goal was to hunt out the back door, now I'm gonna give it a try. Here's the view from the apple tree to the back of the shack.
Just out of curiosity, you didn't happen to see an old guy wearing a number 4 jersey anywhere, have you?

Thanks for the welcome Griz. I've been scopin this site out the last few days and it looked mighty inviting. It kind of reminds me of one I was on a few years ago from the U.P.
