personally, i think that full contact basketball on ice would be fun to watch. wearing football pads, ice skates, and playing basketball. there would not be any showboat dunking, and the scores would never get that high...

I like the way BigJake338 thinks! I would go with the all nude female thing, except it would include oil, a large mound of pillows and ME!

Nope, baby oil filled tub (20 yards x 8 yards), a teflon coated rubber ball, two small goals about 6 feet up, and 14 naked women in there trying to put the ball in the hole. I'm gonna ref it of course. grin

Whatever it would be, everything would be equal . . . nobody would be smarter, bigger, faster, stronger, and on and on, than any member of the other team. Therefore, every game or match would end up in a tie and everybody would get a trophy as "the best" whatever. Wouldn't want anyone to have hurt feelings, dontcha know. Kinda like how our fearless leader views society as he sees it. Want to keep his vision intact crazy ! ! !

I do like the nude women's jump roping idea though . . .

Like Les's oil filled tub sport, too . . .

Haven't worked out the details but it would involve a Trebuchet, Politicians and a Smoldering Volcano. Points awarded for distance and accuracy. Round 'em up and lets start flingin'.

I like Teals' ideas, I"m not a sports person, if I'm not doing it, it ain't worth watching... so I go with all the hunting and fishing as perfect, but perfect would entail more time to do more of it. With good gear.

I will say there is something serenly peaceful about running the airboat after hunting is over, just muffs on and cruising from one fishing hole to another... you can just get lost in that shallow water running.

Some buddies and I did invent a sport when we were kids. It caught on all over town and challengers would meet in the parking lot of an out of business grocery store on most weekends.

All you needed for this sport was a rope 10' to 20' long, and a plastic milk jug full of sand -- oh yeah, and a bicycle with 20" wheels. You tie one end of the rope to the seat post (don't try this on the old banana seats with the sissy bar thing in back -- it can't take it). Tie the other end of the rope to the milk jug. You can vary the length of rope. shorter is easier to maneuver, longer hits harder.

You get a bunch of kids all out in the parking lot going in circles, getting momentum on their jugs. The goal is to time everything just right and hit other bikes with the jug while avoiding getting hit by other flying jugs. This knocks the bicycle out from under the other kid and often times ruins his wheel (or at least sends him home to change wheels or do some serious spoke/vice wheel straightening). You can also just go heads up with the current town champion (that was me quite often).

You have to watch for posts and such, a wrapped rope will bring you to a sudden stop. Two jugs that get rope tied will do the same thing. Snow and ice add more excitement to the game, and if you want to play it like we did, remember nobody had even heard of a bicycle helmet in the late sixties and early seventies. It also helps to have a bicycle scrap yard in your back yard! grin
