Pretty sure I am done with pronghorn for 2009 and will probably just eat my last MT doe tag. Lope numbers are down in the area I usually hunt, so I was forced to try another area. It worked out my first day in the blind. These three came in right away. Couple pups and mom. First buck to come in. Time to fill one of my doe tags. Didn't go far. Weather was cool, so I stayed tight. This guy came in a hour later. Good meat for a couple hours of work. I may have been able to find a bigger buck, but had to be in WY in a few days. I found a couple bucks bigger than this guy, but decided he would do when I shot him on the opener. Axl is sick of furry critters and plan to hunt fowl critters next week. Good luck to all this Fall.

Wow both great bucks!! I have made up my mind that I need to take the wife down to either Montana or Wyoming next year. We'll have 3 pref points each in Wyoming and need to get down and do some antelope hunting down there!!
Great pics!!!

When is your goat hunt? Can't wait to see pics from that hunt.

I'll be up driving there for a hunt Oct 31-Nov 8 hunting moose and deer so I'm hoping the weather is good as well. I was tempted to hunt goat again but will probably go back to Anna's if I can't draw a Montana tag in the next year or two. Good luck.

Nice lopers!! Try antelope fajitas, they're a fav around here. Tip: cut the meat real thin and cook it quick then take it out of the pan. Do your onions and peppers, add the seasoning, get it "just right" then add the meat back to the pan. Good scarfing.

I second the motion on Antelope Fajitas! Also like to slice it thin and throw it in a spicy stir fry, like Mongolian... Ingwe

Very nice pictures. The lope appears to be between 14 and 15 inches.
