At least he has decent taste in his brewski.
I see they trapped him with doughnuts and beer. With that bait I'm surprised they didn't catch a few cops as well.
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!

Well, at least the Rainiers did the job!!!
Being a WA State Resident, I am aware of the bear problems (and cougar!). We have 'em running the creek drainage behind the shop.
But, 'Ol Sasquatch keeps them at a distance!
Nothing like living at the end of a road in the Pacific NW, with a Mountain View with snow out the shop window.

If they used donuts and beer, they might have caught Homer Simpson.

John,
That bear had to have one world class hangover after that party !
Good thing it wasn't Buttwiper (Budwieser), they would have had to close the Campground and declare it a "hazardous area" !!! That stuff tears me up.

As a Washington State University grad, I can testify to the FACT that he obviously was NOT a Cougar!

I changed my mind- I'm not posting details.
Suffice it to say, the first black bear I ever killed (with my fourth shot) was still turning circles in the May roadside ditch when I finally hit him. Blame it on on "buck fever" and the last fall's cranberries, fermented on the vine over the winter. Damned good eating, tho.
The only true cost of having a dog is its death.

Not that it makes any difference, I used to work in that area . and I'm familiar with that resort. It's changed hands several times since then. I doubt if it ever was a big money maker. While I'm sure there was a bear, and it did indeed get into somebody's beer, I have serious doubts about the "Busch" beer part. I took that part of the story as a thinly veiled attempt at "Bush Bashing". There is a Deputy Sheriff assigned to that area whose residence/ office is just a mile or so from the resort. If he would affirm the story I would believe it.

UncleRupe, no idea what you're talking about !
Of course, when it came to drinking (at least in the old days), very few dogs would take on THAT challenge! Football, basketball, whatever else but NOT drinking (grin)!
