Here is my first deer kill with the 35...check out the high tech clothes and my hair!

My dad with a small buck he shot in 1977 with his 35. I now have that gun.



My brother with a 9 pt he took in 1981 with his 1973 336A - 35 Remington

That is why we hunt with 35 Remingtons!!

No doubt the 35 Rem caliber is an excellent deer caliber especially back East or in the thick stuff. We've known that since its birth...Is it better than the 30-30, yes by a bit, but I doubt if one could tell much difference from a practical point of view. A heart/lung shot deer is dead with both.

I agree that with equal heart lung shot placement the result will be pretty much the same. On shots requiring more bone breaking and penetration the 35 will outshine the 30-30 by a lot.

I love my 336C 35 rem. It's my "go to" open sight rifle for deer/black bear/boar. I've only shot a deer with it so far.

hope, my first line conveys the spirit in which this awfull joke was done on your expence.

If my fingers on the trigger then I'm in control hammer up or down.

Most are in PA, with a couple in WV.

The woolrich coat and Marlin brought back many menories. I had duplicates of both when I lived in Pa.

I don't hunt with levers much anymore....But I had the same "combo" of rifle and wool jacket back 25-30 years ago. Except mine was a 30-30. Thanks for sharing,

If you want to buy a new Marlin, take a hard look at the new 338 lever. Impressive ballistics and on game performance.

Well I surely enjoyed your pics...but did ya have to. Now, after telling myself for so long having a 3030 I didn't need a 35, ya got me looking for one.
