What's with Cabela's and Speer (the absence thereof) - some sort of dust-up between them?

The problem with the primers will probably continue.
From what I gather from my various retailer contacts, when the primer shortage hit (because of hoarding, pure and simple--I have visited primer factories in the past year and they are cranking them out as fast they can) all the stores put in order to every distributor they could. Thus the stores that got order in early are getting primers.
As soon as they get enough primers coming in from various sources then they will start cancelling their orders with other distributors.
SW/WS is way down the list for primer orders, because of their upheaval during the past year. So they won't be getting primers before the rest of the stores that are way ahead of them on the list get theirs.
Or at least that's the story I have heard from more than one source.

I was at the local Scheels tonight and they had shelves full of all the different primers. Other stores around hardly have any. Didn't buy any primers but I did pick up a CZ 452FS in 17 HMR. Brand new for $399, didn't think that was too bad for the Mannlicher stocked model. Never owned a CZ before so I hope I'm not dissapointed. If it shoots as good as it looks I'll be a happy camper.

Almost all the stores in California are out of primers. many are out of powder and the selection of bullets is slim. There are few stores that carry reloading components due to the political climate. Most people order online. There is a severe shortage of 380 ACP as well.
