Hi;

I just located a Model 1895 lever action 30-30, and can't find any info on it on the net.

Would appreciate any info on this rifle.

Thanks.

The original Model 1895 was not made in .30-30. I can't tell you more without details.

I should be getting a pic of it tomorrow...if the info I received is accurate...the seller says it's a 30-30...I havent verified that yet...maybe he is wrong, that why I can't find any info on the net...if he is correct, then this could be a rare item...
Thanks.

It's pretty simple Rob, if the rifle in question has a serial number under 8200 it's an 1895, if it's over it's an 1899.

If it's under 8200 it's been rebarreled or the guy screwed up and typed in an extra 0 and it is an actual 303 Savage.

A picture would tell it all for sure. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Yes, this is what I am thinking (that he added an extra "zero" and it is a typo...anyway, I should find out today and will keep all posted.
Thanks for replies and insight.

To clear up the mystery...the owner misread the model number, it turns out it is an 1899, 30-30, ...so that clers that up.
Thanks guys
