It's just funny to me for bear season that you can use a Semi auto 300 mag with a scope that has an illuminated reticle and shoot some 3000 fpe 300 plus yards
But,... you cannot use an arrow with 60 or so fpe which has a 40 or so yard range if you have a lighted nock on the arrow. This is not a weapon specific species or season!
Somehow the use of that lighted nock makes the archery gear too successful even when compared to the above mentioned rifle!
Is that not funny to anyone else?

I've always wondered about this rule too. The way i read is if I shoot 70lb bow I need a minimum of 420 grain arrow but if I shoot 60 lbs I can use a 360 grain arrow.
It is unlawful to hunt big game animals with
any arrow measuring less than 20 inches
in length or weighing less than 6 grains per
pound of draw weight with a minimum arrow
weight of 300 grains

It's not that it would really bring you more success. It's all about it brings in the State more revenue. Paying back our 8 billion dollar debt one dollar at a time. Thanks Christy G.

Is bow season in your state listed as "primitive season" or Archery season?
