Yes I did. Follow-up shot wasn't needed but not out of line either. No need to get pickey OR testy. Fact is she killed a beautiful deer and all should be very proud. Matter of fact, I read the story TWICE. Once for myself, and once for my wife!!!! grin grin

That is a dandy for a first deer! Great writeup, it's awesome that your daughter has taken an interest in hunting.

Any tips for helping someone overcome left eye dominance? My girlfriend tends to have that problem. She's getting better, but thought you might have some tips/tricks.

Congrats to you and her!

Actually, the trick is fairly easy. Put a piece of tape in the center of the left lens of her shooting glasses. Now the left eye can't focus and the right has to do the heavy lifting. Once I did that, the problems went away.

I think I saw an add in a magazine once, Merit Corp, makes a electro-static mesh? that does the same as the tape. Is my memory right? Does anyone else remember that?

The young ladies have been shooting some very nice deer this year - this is another very nice one. Congratulations to your daughter.

That's just great!

What a beautiful buck, and a day you and your daughter will always remember.

Congrats on your success, and a bigger congrats on the experience you had with your daughter and the love you have for her. That's the best trophy of all!! (Although I'd sure put that buck on the wall, too...grin.)

Wonderful job and kudos, great shooting. Good thing those MONSTER Canadian bucks don't know a 243 85 grainer is too small smile If you told them a TSX was on the way they might roll over before you pulled the trigger!

Nice seeing such a large bodied buck, as those are rare down here. I would have figured 275ish....
