It appears that there is a new, or at least new to me manufacturer of model 92 replicas, if I recall correctly named Chiappa arms. Has anyone here actually seen or even bought one? Curiosity has me wondering what they are like, and if they are worth the elevated price.

I have not seen one but the Rossi plant has been making fine shooting 92's for a lot of years and I don't think the Italians will make a better gun.

Yep, Rossi is kind of the standard. Most everyone who has a 92 that I know has one version or another made by Rossi. I had the somewhat annoying introduction to Rossis via one of their pre-safety .357 carbines. It would only chamber cartridges when held rigid and fully upright, and even then, it would cough a lot. It was pretty, tho.
