Want to work some level of a trade with a 112k numbered takedown 1899 in Sav.303 for custom stock and scope for a 99-A .358win made in the late 70's. Want a Master gunsmith anywhere from Central NJ north up Rt 17 towards Bingingham NY.
Please email me with name/details using Campfire in the subject line (to get past SPAM filter).
Thanks!!

A bit out of the specified geography but not far out,
Gunsmithing Ltd. Mitchell Schultz 57 Unquowa Rd Fairfield, CT 06430 203-254-0436 203-254-1535 fax
Last job he did for me was replacing a low number receiver on a fine Springfield 1903 6.5x55 target rifle with a high number which I supplied, also mounted Marble Goss sight, hinged trigger guard, etc. Has long had a very fine reputation. Have never asked him about 99s but would not hesitate to let him work on one.

vigillinus - +100! They do excellent work! I've had them work on a number of my rifles and the results were top notch!

A master Gunsmith is like a fishing term, Master Baiter
I would not want a minor gunsmith working on my gun, just a safety thing

Used to be a "master" gunsmith in this area , I wouldn't of took him a BB gun to have worked on. "Master" is usually a self-proclaimed title , an ego trip , seems to be more prevalent in the NE.

Mike: If that is the definition of a "master" gunsmith, then there should be billions of them in NJ. Shouldn't be hard at all to find one. Randy
