I am looking at a used 700 ADL, cheap synth stock, rings included, 7mm Mag, blued, looks like a 26, mebbe 24 inch barrel. Looks clean, no scratches or anything major, feels real slick....store is asking 300. Fair?

I think so.

Have seen people asking more than that just for a bbl'd action.

Seems fairish... have paid less for more in shops, but you do not mention a few things like warts and brand of the rings. The Wal-Mart ring version is inadequate for holding up a shower curtain...

Recently bought an incredibly accurate 308 ADL of late '60s manufacture in great shape for 290...

Well, there you go...I have no clue about Remington Talk, like Warts, and Wally Versions. What is a wart?

Warts are the J-lock trash slapped on the bolt shroud. If the shroud has circular, button-looking thing on the side it has the Wart.

Wal-Mart gave some really cheesey rings with their ADL versions for a while... Anything but smooth and classy-looking, very clunky, aluminum junk...

I looked at that Remington too. Looked like a good deal. That is a 24" bbl. It does not have the "J" lock or "ISS" as Remington calls it. Those factory plastic stocks are kinda' doo doo. I did some trading at the gun show last weekend for a Mod. 70 XTR featherweight in .30-'06. Haven't shot it yet cuz of all the dang wind lately.
