I just took delivery of a brand new Winchester Model 70 Extreme Weather in 325 wsm. It will be equipped with a Leupold VX III 2.5-8. What rings and bases do you all recommend to keep the weight down with this combination?

Talley Lightweights

Been using Talley's for a couple of years now with no complaints.

While the Talley's are light, they are higher than I would prefer. You might check out the Dednutz as an alternative.

Take a look at These. I have them on my XBolt 7WSM and they are a really good mount. Allow for low mounting as well.

Talley Ltwts. or Gentry's. I've never seen a one piece setup that were this light and tough. E

warne bases and rings, very strong and don't mark up the scope. But not as light as aluminum rings like talley's. I personally don't like talley's.

Talley Lightweights - just 2 ounces for the set, well made and very strong.

Or regular Talley bases with fixed Rings - 4 ounces, well made and tougher than tough.
